I don't find that Auctiva leans more to one than the other.

I could do it the way you're doing it or the way I'm doing it. Or the way countless others have customized their own Auctiva set-up.

To better explain..I have another Auctiva account for another eBay selling ID. That is setup slightly different than this one. It's my tweaks but the the same service. Thus making Auctiva the way I want it.
