LOL!!! People have offered to pay to help them fix issues, that's not the point...they have a different business model, that doesn't mean they're not making money, and by all means, they should. BTW, lots of profitable services are ''free'' to some.

My only question remains...why no announcements about known site issues? People need to know if an issue will last a few minutes, hours, days or weeks to plan accordingly.
