I ship some large and/or expensive items that need extra services like special packing or LOTS of insurance, or they are really big and I get big 'dimensional weight' charges. As the insurance charge is based on the sale amount, I would also like to be able to increase the insurance to account for the extra shipping charges I sometimes incur. I recently sold a clock for $2700 and that is the amount of insurance I get. However, should there be a loss, the cost of the shipping and special packing is not covered, and I think it should be. It cost $250 to ship this box. It only weighed 34 pounds but the box was big, so the dimensional weight was 139 pounds. This may be overlooked by many dealers.
