I have just checked again and ok from London, UK.

I would suggest the problem is that a major server/router on the internet is down just like part of a motorway network and is causing traffic jams and timeouts, as it is not Auctiva, affects various ISP's ~~here and USA and~~ depends at times whether you go via another server such as Google.

Therefore an e-mail to your ISP's regarding service disruptions between your ISP's and Auctiva should be enquired about.

I have experienced this sort of thing a year ago and was able to confirm a problem elsewhere.

What about other websites in similar locations ?
