I second that, I'm not sure it's very likely though because Auctiva only exists because of eBay and is approved by eBay. If they started trying to sell things outside of eBay then eBay would probably withdraw their approval of the site.

Nice idea though.

I think it would be better if you only had to pay eBay fees on listings that sell.
