Backgrounds do not transfer to Ebay

Why do my backgrounds disappear once I submit my auction to ebay? I always have to go and revise the auction to include the background. I have put it into Auctiva many times but it never stays there. Sort of frustrating. I am new to this software, but not to the listing of auctions. SO far this is a bit time consuming compared to what I was used to using.
