It was a nightmare and lasted close to 3 months with my Asian invaders. They bid and wouldn't pay, so I filed NPB. Once I did that they went banana's stating they would ruin my online business if I didn't lift the NPB. Well, <shrug> I didn't think anything about it. WRONG! This began a long nightmare of selling horror which almost had me throw in the towel. They would come and buy out my entire store..700+ items. Then immediately leave me negative feedback. I blocked Asia from buying.
Then they began to sign up in ebay.com. france, sweden, uk, whatever country they could sign up in. Do the same thing all over again. I then blocked international bids. They must've contacted everyone they knew in the US, because it happened again and again and again. Bought out my whole store and left immediate negs.
I had Sellathon so I could see where China would view my auctions, then you could see where on a message board somewhere my link on eBay was being viewed and then come to my auctions and buy me out.
Over and Over and Over and Over and Over.
Then the phone calls began. They pulled my contact information and began rolling phone calling me. One after another. Middle of the night phone calls came. I used to have my links to my other eBay IDs on my email..some of the emails that initially went out had those links..so they went after my other selling IDs also and my website. The website didn't show stores as empty but eBay did when they would buy my stores out.
Filing NPB and then waiting and then filing for the negs to be removed and more was merciless. There was no one that could help me at eBay. Their solution was close shop and start again with another. <sigh>
I dealt with this on my own and with very little assistance from eBay. It was so disconcerting. Can you imagine waking up after refilling your store up to everything sold and pages and pages and pages of negatives? Beth (ironchick) gotta alot of emails that were me whining mercilessly.
I posted my plea for help on another board asking for advice.
Wayne (a seller with eBay) came out and stated put everything on BIN with Paypal required. That is the ONLY thing that saved my eBay business. When it was clear that I was past the worst of it, around the end of November, I took the immediate payment required and began adding slowly in outside the US.
I still cringe every time I see asian countries perusing my auctions via my stats. (I'm a huge fan of Sellathon) If I get emails begging and asking me to open my auctions to Asia, they are ignored. <shrug>
I will NEVER open my auctions to sell to China/Japan...there's just no way!
