can't drop pictures into upload; too large; take up entire page

Hi. I hope you can help me. I am having difficulty uploading my pictures. I've never run into any other problems. I have tried on Safari and Firefox. I have a mac OSX 10.8.4, but just recently upgraded to this version. When I drag a picture to upload frame the picture is huge, and takes up the entire upload page, not allowing me to upload. I do have a Nikon digital camera, but as I said I've been using it for years and never had to change any settings, I've never had a problem before. Can you tell me specifically what I need to to so I can start selling again. All my pictures are on iPhoto waiting to be uploaded. Thank you very much.
