How could I tell without an item #?

Relisting would be one reason why. That item could have been listed for 7 days then relisted. Ours starts back at 0 when it's relisted.

Maybe ours was added after the item had been running for 20 days on a 30 day fixed listing. Etc.

So really that example of eBay's showing 99 and ours 47 is not useful without the item #.
