Custom Email Template - changing auction end time to GMT

Hi. Trying to create a custom email template for winning bidders but adding the End Date tag defaults to PST time on the test email. I'm in the UK and would prefer to have it as GMT. Is this possible?
Sorry if this has been done before but I couldn't find the answer in the forum...
