Deleted Images are Not deleting from closed (old) ebay listings

Listings that have been closed for months on ebay are still showing images. Yes, I've deleted them and it's been way longer than 7 days (they are not showing in deleted images folder at all). Just noticed this problem a couple of weeks ago but have had no luck getting a response from support. Anyone else having this problem and/or know the reason why???
