I'm not really sure why you are seeing what you have described in your Go Daddy account, but I believe Go Daddy's support team would be able to help you with this. If you contact them and say "I would like the host records for www.yourdomain.com to point to 38.102.35.108 using a A record.", they should be able to help you out.
