I think you could also use a custom template to do this. You need to know HTML to attempt this though.

Or if you maybe dont want completely supersize then you could still do a image larger than 400x300 but maybe not the full 1024x768 that our supersize images are. Maybe 800x600 or something would give more detail but not as much as the current ones.
