Do I need to host images here to use the gallery?

Hi, Just wondering if I need to host my images here for the gallery to show up? I don't have a problem with that. I just am wondering as I have these particular images in photobucket currently, and nothing has loaded yet (it's been at least 4 hours I think).

Anyway does it work that way as I was planning to use photobucket sometimes?
