Domain name for store

I new to this....
I have a number of my own domain names that I could use for my store name.
What is the advantage of using my own domain name for the name of the store?
If I use a name for the store, what happens when someone would go to www.mydomaninname.com? do they see my store?

Does my ebay name have to match the name of the store?
