Drop-down List Reduce Choices Based On First Letter

On any and all programs that I use, except Auctiva, when i go to the dropdown I can input the first letter and it takes me the options I need.

even better on most of my programs i can input a few letters and get to the exact choice.

this would be so much more efficient.
