Reply to "duplicate listing error from auctiva"

Hi John,

Thanks for posting your comments here. I reviewed your account and determined that the error you are referring to is actually an API error that was returned by eBay's system when we attempted to submit the item to eBay on your behalf and it appears the error message accurately reflects their Duplicate Listings Policy.

As of October 26, 2010, eBay no longer allows an individual seller to post the same item in two separate fixed price listings at the same time, even if those two listings have different durations. Since you already had one fixed price format listing running for these items, eBay only would have allowed to you post the new listings in "auction" format for them to be accepted.

The full details of this policy are available on the following page of eBay's help index: http://pages.ebay.com/sellerin...telistingpolicy.html

Ebay basically wants sellers to post one multiple quantity fixed price listing when offering several of the same item in fixed price format at the same time, instead of posting multiple fixed price listings that each offer a quantity of 1.

I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance with your account, please feel free to contact our customer support team by mousing over the "Help" tab on our site and selecting the "File Support Case" option.
