I think a lot of these changes are not driven by ebay but by Google. Those who don't comply run the risk of not being visible in a google search.

Other changes seem to be so that ebay can more emulate amazon, which supposedly was the top rated online seller.

i have a lot of business reasons for not using gtc so that is not a good choice for me.
