Reply to "Ebay: No seller discount higher than shipping amount"

Thanks for confirming that I was given the right information, oneheart. It's one thing to pay the high fees Ebay charges, but to interfere in how anyone chooses to conduct business with a buyer is something else! If a buyer spends $300.00, and shipping is $5.00, the buyer can only get a discount of $4.99, staying under the $5.00 shipping. If you wanted to give that buyer 10% off, you can't. High fees aside, If you thought you were at least running your own business, your're not, and here's the proof! Greedbay doesn't get enough. We've all seen the many tips and ideas Ebay offers to help you to increase sales, the click and spend ones such as their picture packages, showcasing, etc. It sure helps to increase their bottom line, while decreasing yours, but offering a discount based on a sale total is a no no, because Ebay loses if they can't charge a final value fee on the deducted discount amount. As usual, sellers are between a rock and a hard place.
