fake email from "ebay" HELP PLEASE!!!!

Hey guys.. I just received an email that looked like it was sent through ebay.
member shaunaxpwns. It asked if I accepted paypal, and that they were very interested. Since it did not look like other messages I had received from ebay(red flag), I checked myEbay messages. there was nothing new there.. another red flag.I clicked on the item #, and it took me to the ebay login page ( I didn't log in, bc it should take you just to the page right?)I clicked on the member name, and ebay said there was no such member. I also checked the item number that was in the email, and it doesn't match anything that I have.
Am I right to think this is a scam. Should it be reported to Ebay?
