Reply to "Firefox 3 crashing when uploading photos"

Hi Community,

If your browser is crashing when you attempt to upload photos, there is most likely some internet security software, pop-up blocker, or other process running on your machine that is interfering with the functionality of the required Java or Active X component and causing your browser to crash.

If you are using Firefox, the Auctiva Uploader will use the Java component, but I'm mentioned that Active X control here as well in case and Internet Explorer users are experiencing similar behavior.

The first thing I recommend trying which may resolve this problem is to disable any pop-up blockers that are running on your browser. Instructions on how to disable the most common pop-up blockers can be found on the following site: http://carmi.mc.yu.edu/alertfind/PopUpBlockers-1.pdf

If that doesn't do the trick, I recommend adding Auctiva.com to the "excepted" list on any internet security applications you are running. Some people may have internet security processes running that will interfere with most, if not all, browser add-ons such as the Java and Active X controls.

If you continue to experience this problem after trying the above measures, I recommend contacting our customer support team using the web form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx
