Reply to "Folders..."

Hi Liz, will take this in steps.

1) Your actual original is in the saved folder, what is in the closed folder is a link to the one that finished on ebay and is primarily for relisting to claim back eligible relist credit.

Secondly if using Auctiva checkout you may want to keep it for access to transaction details.

So deleting from these two folders deletes different things and deleting one does not affect the other.

2) deleting from the saved and closed folders does not affect listings live or completed on ebay. Except if you want to use the closed folder link for relist as in (1)

3) If the images are not going to be used again they can then be deleted, but I let the closed listings be available on ebay complete with images unitil ebay deletes them.

This is useful for two reasons, (a) the winner can confirm the item against the listing to ensure they have received what they expected. Not doing so can cause grief and dispute as another seller found recently on these boards. (b) prospective buyers checking your feedback can actually see what another buyer left feedback about, this is especially useful when you are selling expensive items.

So if you are never going to use the listing again even as a basis for a new listing then you can delete it from the closed folder and the saved folder followed by the images once the closed listing is deleted by ebay.
