Ah, it's different in the UK. E-Bays rules are that the seller is responsible for the item until delivered.
If lost before reaching buyer the onus is on the seller to claim for the loss.
If it arrives damaged the buyer can claim back his money. The buyer has the option of refund/exchange.
The seller has to claim the cost of the damaged item from the carrier.
Insurance is, again, for the seller's benefit, in the UK. Not the buyer's.
So, it's that the rules are different for sellers dependent on location, it seems.
