Carole - I had that problem with mine BEFORE inserting gallery. I had to reformat my picture alignment. I originally had my pictures to the left or right of the descritpion, now I have one on top and the others on bottom and this has seemed to help.

It has nothing to do with the gallery, early on others were complaining that with they're basic templates that it was off center. Auctiva changed something with the code but noone ever said what they did. I had a post ages ago asking about it and just decided to change my template.
