If you're talking about the ebay counters (?) they are pretty unreliable (If that's not what you mean, feel free to ignore me

)
I've always used Andale, now Vendio, counters, they're free and are probably a little more accurate. They also seem to be very up to the minute so to speak. You just need a token, same as with Auctiva.
