I am wondering about buying a domain name how this works versus

I was just wondering if I bought a domain name how does this work with the listing on ebay & with the auctiva store? Does the auctions from ebay promote your website domain? I am new to this so I am actually clueless. If someone would please explain how it all fits together & how I would actually make a store by buying a domain name. Thank you so much... remember I am clueless so as MUCH info as possible would be AWESOME & thanks a bunch in advance! Tammy
