I can't get my template to my listing page

Hello All and happy super bowl day :0)
I have been trying for 4 days almost none stop.
I know there are several topics on this subject but none that are clear enough for me to get going. Im trying to get the ladybug template from auctiva. once i get that template i remove the details i don't want (i.e) about us and contact me. now how do i get that info on the new page im creating . i tried this in html and standard. Do I copy and close the window and open the new page. I have tried everything please help im going coo-coo :0)
