I want borders...how do I get them

I just learned about putting borders on my photos. It is enabled in my settings, but can't see where to choose it on the listings. Anybody help? Thanks ADDITIONAL: Perhaps I am thinking that the gallery picture is supposed to have a border. That's what I was mainly asking about. Some of my listings have a very thin border in the pics in the description/template, but I was thinking the gallery would have a border also, to stand out? Maybe not?!?
