Don't know if this was answered for you, but my advice is download Firefox, disable IE and never look back.

IE is a fantastic gateway to adware and spam and it is designed for it.
If you explore you5r internet settings and set you cookie option to notify you every time some site or ad banner wants to cookie your system you will be impressed how alarmingly often it happens on IE and does NOT happen on Firefox.
Also Firefox offer an adblock plus app that no one should surf without.

and FF doesn't crash with Auctiva
