I just recently tried that to one of my listings but with Chinese and it really messes it up. Far as I can tell it is the new editor that has the issues on this end.
I did it once before using the old editor and it was fine but haven't tried it lately (different account)

You can revise on eBay and their editor has no issues/no problems with doing it.
