Item Description Box will not allow changes

I can not change the font, size or color of any of the descriptions in my auctions now. I have tried to change a saved auction and I have tried to make a new auction and then edit the description. Nothing works. Why would this be happening? I highlite what I want to change then hit "font", "color icon" or "color box" and it unhighlites itself.
