Listing Similar Item Cancels Out Master Profile

I am trying to do similar listings and all I need to do is change up a few words here or there, but when I click on similar listing it makes me create a new profile again which I have set up with all my pertinent information. Is this a bug or is there another way I am to be doing this? Once I click on the Master Profile it erases all the info already shown that I wanted to keep.
