My Scheduled Listings were not successful

I've never participated in message boards, so if I'm being stoopid or am not following proper protocal, just let me know. I looked at the interactive tutorial, created 2 auctions, did the error check (both passed) and scheduled the auctions to launch last night. Neither did. The recap simply shows "Failure" without telling me why. How do I determine why these auctions failed, and can I correct them or do I have to recreate them? (seems like that, all it offers me is the opportunity to delete them). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
