Reply to "New eBay Picture Requirements..."

Hi littleredcart,

eBay's new image requirements (some which will go into effect July 2) will be an improvement on eBay's current image offerings.

But even though eBay is going from one free image to twelve (per listing) they will still not offer as many images as Auctiva users receive.

Auctiva's super-size feature is also a more detailed tool than eBay's enlarge tool.

Some changes that will effect Auctiva users will be the 500px width requirement for header (or featured) images, but this can easily be met since digital cameras will produce images that are larger than 500 px on one side at most quality settings. But be careful not to get your images TOO large. Anything larger than Auctiva's current max of 1280 x 1024 px, will be automatically resized and will slow down your upload process, and no one likes slow upload times!

Another important change to note is the new regulations on watermarks. With eBay's new changes, you will no longer be able to list a domain name within your watermark.

For more information, feel free to check out our blog post "Auctiva Customers Still Picture Perfect" that goes into a few more details about how eBay's image changes will affect Auctiva users.
