I think the simple answer is....the business model is changing (for better or WORSE), so the services supporting the old model are no longer welcome.

Watching them get strangled by one policy noose after another won't be fun.

Maybe a book on Corporate insanity ain't such a bad idea. The subject material certainly gets a daily injection.
