Reply to "No images shown when listing"

I did try again last evening and this morning. I start the listing, put in the description check below and there are 16 boxes with "select image" in the squares - no images in sight. Do they automatically show in the "image box"? Should I do something in images first? I did not use folders as I find them unnecessary, are they required here? Something is not working right.
