I did a system restore and everything has been fine since then. However, when I first got the pop ups that said my computer was "infected" with Trojans and worms, and I needed to "click here" to get rid of the virus, I ignored it.

Is it possible that people who did not do the second step (getting to where you bought the fake program to get rid of the fake worms) are okay with just doing system restore?

I'm not a techie, but my computer has been fine since system restore yesterday. am I living in a bubble? Is it really infected? thanks.
