That sounds like my friend's system. They are using Norton too. They got reinfected (possibly yesterday evening) and Norton support had to clean the system again this morning. They used the paid support service over the phone and with remote desktop to clean their system. It took about two hours on Saturday and more time this morning.
I'm pretty sure my infected system had a Vundo Trojan varient from one task I spotted running. I don't use Norton and was able to do a Restore before it got too far.
