Reply to "Pasting text into description"

Word uses a markup language code that's not compatible with HTML (HyperText Markup Language) code. That's why HTML pages created by copy and paste of Word documents often won't display correctly (especially with other than the IE browser) and can corrupt the page.

That's why that paste button is there, to cleanup the bad Word code (and I don't mean offensive language). Smile

Edit: Let me emphasize that it has NEVER been an acceptable practice to place Word Code in listings on eBay and could in fact be interpreted as a policy violation under their practices and site interference policy. eBay is more and more ENFORCING policy with listing cancellations and suspensions. I'm not at all unhappy that the editor is doing its job in cleaning up bad code. Is Auctiva (therefore) looking out for the Community's best interests? Well, my vote is YES.
