Phishing emails

Hi,
just a gentle warning . i received what seemed to be an email from Auctiva warning me my eBay token was out of date and ever so helpfully giving me a direct link so i could update it.
Rather than use the link (call me suspicious) i went via the sign in page on Auctiva ,only to find my token was still valid.
So if you get anything similar in your mail box check in via Auctiva first.
I know this is teaching granny to suck eggs but there are new people out there who may not be aware.
