Reply to "Phishing emails"

Hi Gowan,

Thanks for contributing to our forum. Unfortunately, it is fairly common for hackers to send out *spoof* emails that purport to be from Auctiva (or eBay and Paypal) but actually contain links to sites that have been set up to steal the log-in information of unsuspecting users for the purpose of

Our token generation reminder emails actually do not contain any links but, as a general rule, it is best to exercise caution any time you receive an email that looks suspicious and/or prompt you to click a link and then enter log-in credentials.

Also, if you receive any more suspicious looking emails moving forward, we encourage you to forward them to abuse@auctiva.com so we can work on having those responsible for sending them out shut down as soon as possible.

I realize that you may already be familiar with some or all of these things, but I figured I would chime in this thread anyway in case this information is helpful to any other members of our community who may check it out.
