But I'll respond here now.. for the benefit of others as well....
Yes there can be problems in certain specific situations (as posted elsewhere before) relating to high-density photos or those exceeding certain size limits or formats. The following link to the FAQ's (under images) gives the info which follows as a starting point to begin with:

Our image uploaders will resize all images larger than 1MB. We also restrict the dimension size to 1024x768 and convert images to JPG format after the upload process. Because of this, it is possible that even if your image was smaller than 1MB, it could end up with an even smaller file size once it’s in on our servers.
You, [or anyone else] can also search the boards here (very much encouraged) using the 'find' tab with keywords such as 'photo size', 'image size', or any other terms which reflect the issue you're having (or might have in the future). This will almost always provide you with previous questions-and-answer threads already posted, providing an invaluable (and immediate) tool for extracting solutions for your own needs. ~Zeb
