Bangers are sausages, probably called so because if the skins are not pricked before cooking the can explode.

They are very similar to what I have seen as hotdogs but I thought the term hotdog included the 'bun' or 'roll' the sausgages were put in.

Errm, don't the cats catch the rats or is it the other way around ?
