When you paste the template text into the Description field on eBay you have to make sure that you are putting in in the "Enter your own HTML" area. If you paste the HTML into the default editor (the default tab) then all of the HTML will be interpreted as TEXT...not HTML.

I think that might be the issue that you are having...
