It doesn't matter what you sell, the profiles will save you some typing on each listing to say the least. For example, my item details have a couple of sentences about my items are coming from a smoking household, etc. So I don't have to type that disclaimer in every single listing, it's already there.

For Marketing, all I have checked is Gallery pic, nothing more. Checkout profile has my Paypal email address and my location, so I don't have to fill that in each & every time.

All this stuff has to be filled in every time you do a listing. It's much easier to set it up & have it already there
