Reply to "Relisting Items"

Hi,

Understanding where code is kept at eBay vs. Auctiva on their respective servers, really helps the basic understanding of where functions are (need to be) done.

Using the Relist editor, you are essentially editing the code stored at eBay, not Auctiva. The Saved Listings at Auctiva are only used to SEND (list or schedule) new listings to eBay through the API connection service. What you see as Active and Closed listings on those Auctiva pages are tracking information only for those listings stored on the separate eBay system. That's why you often see delays between the action at eBay and the update at Auctiva. Hence the concept of "Import Button" for any closed listing at eBay, i.e. the import function copies the listing code from eBay back to Auctiva through the API service to store in your Saved Listings library in the Import folder.

I hope that clarification helps.

Auctiva's relist function can do a few limited changes only, but does operate with the scheduler and does provide the free relist, when available/applicable to a close listing. For other changes to the listing, use eBay's Relist editor and relist from eBay.
