I wasn't worried about uploaded files, just the ones I spent all day yesterday, and soon to be today on, that have not been uploaded.
I have worked with computers enough years to know that failure rates are relative to the amount of time and effort put into the item to be lost (Murphy's Laws of computing).
Things can and do disappear into the ether.
