What was that music teacher's name? We used to run sled dogs sprint, sold our slower ones to Iditarod teams. The Osmars got a couple way back in the 80's, Linda Plettner had a few, swapped dogs with the Redingtons, we got the last litter out of old Joe's famous lead dog Feets. Our bitch only had 2 pups and only one survived. Had a real go with Parvo when it hit the state. Go out on the Iditarod for a picnic and watch the dogs go by every year. Don't know as many names as we used to. Only teacher I knew that mushed was Vern Cherniski, but that was sprint.
Gosh, that was a lifetime ago when I was tougher and didn't have a computer. Training sled dogs is a real commitment to cold and hard work. I don't remember ever being cold though.
