Reply to "Table borders not showing with custom template"

Hi,

I think I know whats happening to the template. It's the editor in auctiva.

Try this, copy your template ( the good one you gave me the link to) into the editor under LISTINGS ~ CREATE NEW. It looks like this:

CUSTOM TEMPLATES
Create
NEW!Highlight your items and establish your brand. You can create your very own custom templates with Auctiva’s easy-to-use template creator. You can provide your own HTML code to define the look and feel of your auctions

Make sure when you are in this page NOT to click on DESIGN View. Stay in the text view.

Name the template and then where it says " Insert Title Here " in your template put this in it's place [TITLE] do the same for where it says "Insert Description Here" put [DESCRIPTION]

Then place your [IMAGE1] tagS where you want your images to be, or choose this tag,
[DESCRIPTION_AND_IMAGES]

I take it that the table for your shipping / Policies and Terms of Sale will remain the same for every auction ? so you can just type that info inside the template.

Before saving it, you have to make sure that you assign the correct image type, look on the left of the page, low down, you will see a "Choose Image Type" box, you have to choose how you want your images to appear in your template. For example, if you want the supersize pictures then you have to save the template with the 400 x 300 image type highlighted.

DO NOT VIEW IT IN DESIGN, STAY AWAY FROM THERE.

once you have it looking ok, save it.

The go to the listing page and run a test auction, when you go to attach the template. look under " CUSTOM " to find your template which will be stored in there for you.

You prob know all this anyway, but just incase you don't, other users might get some help from this post.

Let me know how you get on.

Good luck. Carol.
