You're descriptions aren't gone.

The background image is missing and so it's white text on a white background. Click and hold your left mouse button and drag across where your description should be and you'll highlight the area and will see it's still there.

We should have those images back in a few minutes, we were just making a quick change over that took a few minutes longer than expected.
